Book review of Unlimit Yourself by Mumin Sekman
One of the most challenging, yet inspiring definitions of determination, in my belief, is of Helen Keller who once said: I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but I still can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.
When I first read the back cover of Unlimit Yourself by Mumin Sekman, I was illuminated with the definition of success that I had never thought of before: Success is when you astonish yourself with your own achievements.
The definition of success by Sekman, when combined with the words of Helen Keller, immediately attracted my attention to Unlimit Yourself. In the quest of learning more about success, I came across with some inspiring analysis of human nature and guidance on determination, passion and limits that actually work together in forming success.
Mumin Sekman who aims at sharing the secret of success with as many people as possible leads the reader in Unlimit Yourself to explore the ingredients and possible outcomes of success. Giving examples from real life and adopting a systematic approach in analysis, Sekman helps the readers discover more about themselves and success.
Unlimit Yourself starts with a mythological story on success that captures interest immediately. The story about Icarus, a legendary character known for challenging limitations, explains success as flying high up, close to the sun and surpassing all the surrounding boundaries. Seeing Icarus experience the joy of learning, lightness and freedom without any fear of what might happen next, the reader is challenged with two options: To rise on wings being free of all possible boundaries or not?
What is unique about Unlimit Yourself is that it does not force the readers in the path of success, but instead prepares them mentally to change from within. Sekman claims My greatest fortune is having been born with the passion to achieve great things. Success can be learned but comes with a condition: If the individual does not feel the encouragement from within, there is no way for the potential of success to come out!
Experiencing the stages of success, one understands that the inner urge for achievement enriched with determination and action is the key to success. Sekman explains the relation as Major success comes from the heart, grows in the brain and flows into life through hands.
As an inspiring book on self development that explores success,
Unlimit Yourself guides you to success uniquely and encourages you with the idea that If the opportunities you seek outside of yourself and in others fail to materialize, turn inward; it is highly possible that what you seek may lie within!
Reading the book, it is great to know that it is possible to transform failures into achievements and our destinies may be rewritten with our actions toward success. As a reader, I now know that the only source of success comes from within and that a person should be like the legendary hero Icarus on the way to success.
